Twenty-plus popular Amarillo restaurants and others will provide food and drinks for thousands who'll crowd into downtown Amarillo on Thursday.
The Amarillo Chamber of Commerce's annual Sumer Celebration runs from 5 to 8 p.m. around the chamber grounds at 1000 S. Polk St. Entrance gates will be located at 10th Avenue and Polk Street, 11th Avenue and Polk Street and 11th Avenue and Tyler Street.
"The Summer Celebration showcases about 25 of our local restaurants and food and beverage company members to the public," said Gary Molberg, chamber president and CEO. "It’s a great way for the community to come out and meet some friendly faces and try some new restaurants and old favorites as they serve up a variety of great food and drinks."
The party offers a networking opportunity for professionals in addition to the party (which, let me say, is geared more toward adults than the family crowd).
Velvet Funk Band will perform.
