Hagy Center for Young Children, a new early childhood education facility for Amarillo College, is scheduled to open to children in mid-August.

Recently, Mary Clare Munger, AC's childhood education department chair and Tracy Wise, the new center's director, were joined by the Cat in the Hat for a walking tour of play areas outside the center.

The Cat in the Hat was in Amarillo as part of the 75th anniversary celebration of the character's creation by Dr. Seuss.
