One of the country's top singer-songwriters will finally make his Amarillo debut more than two years after his first attempt was canceled.

Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit will bring its spring tour to town for an 8 p.m. April 24 concert in the Amarillo Civic Center Complex Auditorium, 401 S. Buchanan St.

Tickets go on sale Friday at all Panhandle Tickets outlets, including the website, area United Supermarkets and the Civic Center Box Office, or by phone at 806-378-3096. Prices are $57, $42.50 & $29.50, plus fees.

Isbell's latest album, The Nashville Sound, is nominated for two 2018 Grammy Awards — best Americana album and best American roots song ("If We Were Vampires," currently in rotation on FM90).

Joining the band for the tour is legendary singer, songwriter and guitarist Richard Thompson, one of Rolling Stone's Top 20 Guitarists of All Time and a key figure in the British folk-rock movement.

Isbell had been scheduled to perform in October 2015 at then-ThunderHeads Stadium, but the concert was canceled just more than a week before the performance.

He and the band are featured on this week's episode of Austin City Limits, airing at 10 p.m. Saturday on Panhandle PBS.
