Season Preview: Lone Star Ballet's 2018-19 offerings

Lone Star Ballet's 2018-19 season is revealed.

Lone Star Ballet will feature a beauty AND a beast in its 2018-19 season.

As artistic director Vicki McLean explains in the above video, the dance company's season will open with an original production of Frankenstein on Oct. 26 and 27 and close with a remounting of Sleeping Beauty on April 12 and 13.

Between those are the annual holiday production of The Nutcracker from Dec. 7 to 9 and a visit from Envy Dance Company, whose leader Brandon J is a frequent LSB collaborator, on Feb. 16.

"I think we're going to have a lovely season," McLean said. "It's going to be great fun."

All productions except Nutcracker will be staged in the Globe-News Center for the Performing Arts, 500 S. Buchanan St. Nutcracker will be staged in the Amarillo Civic Center Complex Auditorium, 401 S. Buchanan St.
