  • Alibates Flint Quarries National Monument: The monument, about 35 miles north of Amarillo near Lake Meredith National Recreation Area, is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily except Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day.   • Amarillo Museum of Art: The museum, 2200 S.
