Unwrap Christmas celebrations with Panhandle PBS

The holiday season will be celebrated all month long on Panhandle PBS.

First, check out our special version of "The Twelve Days of Christmas," a collaboration with friends all over town:

Our ongoing series of encores of past documentaries and specials will continue with an additional holiday concert: Happy Holidays and All That Jazz (2002) at 7 p.m. Dec. 20.

Then, Christmas at West Texas A&M University: Star of Bethlehem will premiere at 9 p.m. Dec. 19.

The special, recorded Dec. 2 and produced by WT’s Maroon Productions, will feature the WT Symphony Orchestra with guests Clovis (N.M.) High School Chamber Choir and Harrington String Quartet violist Vesselin Todorov. The concert will conclude with the final chorus from Mendelssohn’s Elijah.

It will encore at 2 a.m. Dec. 21 and 8 p.m. Dec. 24.

The special, recorded in 2017 and produced by WT’s Maroon Productions, will feature the WT choirs and orchestra, the Canyon High School Chorale, violinist Yevgeny Zvonnikov and guest conductor Dongin Youn.

It will encore at 1 a.m. Dec. 26.

We’ll also encore Amarillo Symphony: Happy Holiday Pops, a celebration of some of your favorite Christmas-time songs and carols in a concert recorded in December 2016.

The concert features Amarillo Master Chorale and such beloved works as Leroy Anderson's "Sleigh Ride," Ralph Vaughn Williams' "Fantasia on Greensleeves," the "Hallelujah" chorus from George Frideric Handel's Messiah and more.

It will air at 9:30 p.m. Dec. 25.
