Everyone’s favorite dinosaur, Buddy, is coming to Amarillo in May! Texas Panhandle families will recognize Buddy from the PBS Kids series Dinosaur Train, where viewers can learn all about dinosaurs and science with Buddy and his siblings, Tiny, Shiny and Don. Together with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Pteranodon, they travel through prehistoric jungles, swamps, volcanoes and oceans to learn about all the different kinds of dinosaurs and how they live.
Buddy is taking a short break from his travels with his family for a few safe and socially distanced adventures in the Amarillo area. Buddy will be at Business Connection on Thursday, May 20 from 10 am to 4 pm. On Saturday, May 22, Buddy will be at Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum in Canyon for the Raptor Run and Dino Fun event from 11 am to 2 pm. Visits with Buddy in the museum lobby will be free, while entrance fees will apply to the Raptor Run and the Museum galleries. Additionally, on Sunday, May 23, Buddy will be at Wonderland Park from 3 pm to 5 pm. Virtual storytelling events with Buddy will take place online with several Texas Panhandle libraries over the summer.
Dinosaur Train airs weekdays at 11 am on Panhandle PBS and at 9:30 am on the PBS Kids 24/7 channel.
