Barriers continue to fall for women in engineering fields.
Several women engineers from Pantex and Bell, the aircraft manufacturer, gathered Thursday afternoon at the Don Harrington Discovery Center to pass the torch to a new generation of young women who are interested in following in their footsteps into science, technology, engineering, and math, or STEM, careers.
For Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day, DHDC and Pantex joined forces to sponsor an information session that allowed about 125 Texas Panhandle high school girls to interact with women in several engineering disciplines:
