The final semester workshop jointly sponsored by Legal Aid of Northwest Texas and Amarillo College Legal Studies will provide family-related legal information.

The groups' Special Needs and Will/Probate Workshop is scheduled for 9 a.m. to noon on Tuesday (April 18) at AC's downtown campus, 1314 S. Polk St.

Attorneys will discuss estate planning, wills and probate issues. Also, attorneys will discuss legal routes for setting up guardianships and trusts over children and adults with special needs or mental illness.

A Potter County Detention Center representative will talk about mental illness among the county's inmate population and programs that have been created to address mental illness.

The workshop is the last of a series of discussions, which are derived from the most common questions received at AC's Legal Clinic. The most recent session in March dealt with immigration legal matters.
