Cancer: The Emperor of All Maladies Online Preview

Panhandle PBS and the American Cancer Society Amarillo office invite you to participate in a free online film preview of the new Ken Burns film, Cancer: The Emperor of All Maladies to be held this Wednesday night (3/25).  An online reception will start at 6:45 p.m. with the film preview starting at 7:00 p.m.  Using the OVEE online film platform link below, you can take part in this reception and film preview from the comfort and convenience of your own home or work computer station.

We are delighted to be a supporting partner in this event with KLRN - the PBS member station in San Antonio serving south central Texas.  Please make sure your browser is up-to-date before joining the screening.

Cancer: The Emperor of All Maladies premieres on PBS stations nationwide, including Panhandle PBS, on March 30th, 31st and April 1st at 8:00 p.m. each night.  At six hours, the full film interweaves a historical narrative with intimate stories about contemporary patients and an investigation into the latest scientific breakthroughs.  It's been called the most comprehensive film about a single disease ever made, hoping to .  Visit panhandlePBS.org/cancer for more about the film, local stories on cancer that Panhandle PBS has collected, other area film preview events, in addition to other other resources.
