Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt is breaking into the Amarillo market.
Banker Commercial broker Justin Kite said a Lubbock franchise owner will bring the self-serve concept to a retail building on Washington Street at Interstate 40.
Menchie’s will take the center storein a retail center at 1915 S. Washington Street. The center also houses Subway, Essence Nail Spa and Abbeville Dentistry.
The yogurt chain’s website said its stores serve its own private-label yogurt. Varieties run the gamut from tart and nonfat to low-carb, gluten free and nondairy.
Entrepreneur Magazine includes Menchie’s in its Franchise 500 and Fastest Growing rankings in 2013 and ’14. And the magazine rated the company as the top frozen yogurt franchise in 2013.
