The Panhandle Gives is a 9-day charitable giving event hosted by the Amarillo Area Foundation that celebrates generosity across the 26 counties of the Texas Panhandle. The campaign begins the Monday before Thanksgiving and concludes on Giving Tuesday, the global day of giving. In 2026, The Panhandle Gives runs November 23–December 1.

This year, we're taking on a big goal with an idea that's easy to understand:

150 days. $150,000. One Panhandle.

We're working to raise $150,000 to help fund 150 days of Panhandle PBS programming, education, and community service.

Why 150 days?

Because the work we do doesn't happen in a vacuum. It happens because people like you believe our community deserves access to public media and the opportunities it creates.

It happens because someone chooses to support local storytelling.

Because a family discovers something new.

Because a child gets an opportunity to learn.

Because neighbors come together around the things that matter.

The Panhandle Gives is our opportunity to come together and help make more of those moments possible.

Starting Monday, November 23, we'll be asking our community to help us reach our goal.

Will you help us fund a day of Panhandle PBS?

Mark your calendar, share our campaign with a friend, and get ready to make a difference right here at home.

The Amplification Fund

What is the Amplification Fund? & How is it awarded?

  • The Amplification Fund is a pooled fund of bonus dollars. (It is not a match)
  • The bonus percentage will be calculated after the total from #ThePanhandleGives has been determined.
  • Nonprofits that raise at least $250 will receive a percentage match from the Amplification Fund. There is a 10% cap on the Amplification Fund.
  • The match will be based on the percentage of the total raised for The Panhandle Gives campaign that was designated for the participating nonprofit and receipted through the Amarillo Area Foundation
