Honey Soy Glazed Brussel Sprouts | Sam Blackburn

Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ lbs. brussels sprouts, trimmed and cut in half or quartered (depending on size)
  • 2 Tbsp white truffle & grapeseed oil blend (1:4 ratio)
  • 1 Tbsp Bacon Salt (from SALT)
  • 2 tsp Aleppo Pepper (from SALT)
  • ½ tsp fresh cracked black pepper
  • 2 Tbsp white truffle & grapeseed oil blend
  • 1 cup cashews
  • 2 Tbsp honey
  • 1 Tbsp Soy Sauce

Directions

  1. In large bowl, toss brussels, first listed oil, bacon salt, Aleppo pepper, and fresh cracked pepper together to combine.
  2. In a large saute pan over medium high heat, add 2nd listed oil and heat to almost smoking
  3. Do your best to cook brussels cut side down for 4-5 minutes, then give the pan a toss so that they don’t burn.
  4. Add cashews and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
  5. Add honey and soy sauce, toss to combine and cook for another 1-2 minutes. By this time the brussels should be getting pretty tender.
  6. Remove from pan, allow to cool slightly and enjoy!
