Adventurer Steve Backshall is an expert on exploring the world’s most unusual and unique places. In his travels, he regularly ventures into uncharted territory, faces extreme physical challenges, encounters incredible wildlife, and more. Backshall and his crew have done everything from exploring underground river systems to scaling unclimbed Arctic peaks.
Backshall and his crew have faced their fair share of challenges throughout their countless adventures. The new series “Expedition with Steve Backshall: Unpacked” is full of never-before-seen footage from their travels, and gives plenty of behind the scenes content that explains how episodes are filmed and brought to screens across the globe.
Backshall received a British Academy Film Award (BAFTA) for The Best Children’s Television Presenter for working on “Deadly 60.” Additionally, he served as an on-air correspondent for “Big Blue Live,” a co-production between PBS and BBC. He has also written 13 books.
