It is no secret that the past year has been one filled with many struggles. Events and celebrations have had to be canceled, including many holiday celebrations. With summer quickly approaching and vaccinations on the rise, things are looking better, but still quite uncertain.
Last summer, PBS was still able to broadcast the National Memorial Day Concert. For over 30 years, celebrities, musicians and performers from the United States premier military choirs and ensembles have come together to honor wounded and fallen soldiers, as well as their families. As one of PBS’ highest-rated programs, the National Memorial Day Concert has become a beloved American tradition.
Though it may still be a while before ceremonies and celebrations look normal again, with parades, memorial services, gatherings with friends and family and more, there are still many ways to celebrate safely. The National Memorial Day Concert is a perfect example.
The 32nd annual National Memorial Day Concert will air on Panhandle PBS on Sunday, May 30 at 7:00 p.m.
