June Membership Drive kicks off June 11

Focused on delivering high quality local, regional and national content in the areas of community, story-telling, arts and culture, and education, Panhandle PBS utilizes its broadcast and online outlets to provide audiences with unprecedented access to the content that is meaningful to them – on air, online, at home and everywhere they go.

In order to provide quality programming to the Texas Panhandle, our station depends on support from our members, business partners and community in order to thrive.

Our membership drives are an opportunity for viewers to join Panhandle PBS as a member, renew their existing membership, or become a sustaining member. This month, Panhandle PBS will kick off our June membership drive on June 11 with less interruptions of the programs you love and a great line up of special programming that you can only watch on PBS.

Among featured programs:

  • In Aging Backwards 2: Connective Tissue Revealed, viewers will discover the amazing power of your connective tissue. This vital tissue surrounds every part of us – every muscle, nerve, cell, bone, and organ. Keeping it healthy is the secret to remaining youthful at any age. The human body is a powerful machine, but we must choose to keep it young. The fountain of youth is within each of us; Miranda will teach you exactly how to access it. It will air at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 11.
  • Recorded to honor his mother's request that he release an album of gospel classics, Alan Jackson's Precious Memories CD quickly made its way to the top of the sales charts and into the hearts of fans. Alan Jackson's Precious Memories will air on June 11 at 5:30 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. on June 13.
  • Having earned 22 #1 career singles, 30 top 10 singles, nearly two dozen gold and platinum awards (U.S. and Canada), a Grammy award, numerous CMA, ACM and American Music Awards and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Clint Black has had one of the most storied careers in modern music. It's been three decades since the release of his groundbreaking debut album, Killin' Time, which cemented the country music icon as one of the truest traditionalists in the game. In early 2022, the seemingly unstoppable legend went out on tour with his wife, Lisa Hartman Black, and his daughter, Lily Pearl, for the "Mostly Hits & the Mrs." Tour. Clint Black: Mostly Hits & The Mrs. will air at 9:00 p.m. on June 11.
  • Described as "charming... ravishing (and) transportive" by The New York Times, "All Creatures Great and Small" returns for a second season of heartwarming and humorous stories based on James Herriot's beloved bestselling novels about a young vet and his surrogate family in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales of the 1930s. With an acclaimed ensemble cast headed by Nicholas Ralph as James Herriot. Fans can enjoy their favorite moments with this marathon of the second season of All Creatures Great and Small starting at 11:00 a.m. on June 12.
  • Paul Anka burst on the American music scene in the late 1950s with a string of hits that almost instantly made him internationally famous. Highlights of his 65-year career include selling ten million albums globally, gallivanting with the Rat Pack, owning a Vegas nightclub and penning iconic songs for Frank Sinatra, Tom Jones and Buddy Holly. In March 2022, Anka returned to the stage to croon tunes honoring Sinatra, his greatest mentor. He also performed all-new songs from his latest album, Making Memories, plus greatest hits from across his career. Paul Anka Sings Sinatra was recorded in the beautiful Reynolds Hall, part of the state-of-the-art entertainment complex at the Smith Center in Las Vegas. It will air at 9:30 p.m. on June 12.
  • No one could have guessed on October 8, 1985, when Les Misérables opened in London at the Barbican Theatre that it would become a worldwide phenomenon, but audiences embraced it from the start, creating a “people’s musical” that has played in 42 countries and has been seen by nearly 60 million people. In 2010, the legendary musical celebrated its 25th birthday, and to mark the occasion, producer Cameron Mackintosh staged an extraordinary concert at the O2 Arena in London.  LES MISÉRABLES 25TH ANNIVERSARY CONCERT AT THE O2will air on Monday, June 13 at 7:00 p.m.
