Participants can take part from the safety and comfort of their own home by using their computer, tablet, or phone. Click HERE. to RSVP and get log-in details for the event, which will also feature a live chat with viewers alongside Amarillo Museum of Art and Panhandle PBS staff.

This screening is being held in conjunction with the Museum's new series of exhibitions, "Precipice," on view through December 31, 2020. The exhibits feature three artists – Mark Messersmith, David Maisel, and Jess Benjamin – exploring the impact on humankind's relationship with nature through paintings, photographs, and sculptural ceramics.

The featured film is "Awakening", the first of the new three-part PBS series, "The Age of Nature." In the episode, viewers will discover how a new awareness of nature is helping to restore ecosystems from Panama to China to Mozambique. Viewers will see how innovative actions are being taken to repair man-made damage and restore reefs, rivers, animal populations and more.

During this free event, viewers may engage and interact by asking questions and sharing thoughts about the film, shared through the OVEE platform. OVEE (Online Viewing and Engagement Experience) combines quality HD media with the community building conversation of social media in a single-screen experience.

This event is supported by Humanities Texas, Texas Commission on the Arts, National Endowment for the Arts, National Endowment for the Humanities, and PBS.
