Panhandle PBS is hosting an afternoon of fun at Summer Splash from 2-4 p.m. on Thursday, June 12, at our studio, located at 2408 S. Jackson St. in Amarillo.
Guests will enjoy a multitude of family-friendly activities both inside the studio and outside on the lawn, including story time, popsicles, popcorn, green-screen fun, a collection activity, bracelet making, and more!
Carl from the new PBS KIDS series “Carl the Collector” will be in attendance as a costume character at Summer Splash. “Carl the Collector” follows the everyday adventures of Carl, a warm-hearted autistic raccoon who enjoys collecting things and loves his friends and family in Fuzzytown. In each episode, Carl and his friends work and play together. In the process, they find out what makes each of them who they are. “Carl the Collector” broadcasts daily at 7:30 a.m. on Panhandle PBS, or 8, 8:30 and 10 a.m. on the Panhandle PBS KIDS 24/7 channel. Episodes are also available anytime on PBSKIDS.org and the PBS KIDS video app.
Summer Splash is free and open to the public and helps Panhandle PBS meet its mission of educating, inspiring and entertaining Texas Panhandle audiences that it serves. For more information, call Panhandle PBS at (806)371-5479.
