Panhandle PBS' newest favorite kid character Donkey Hodie is coming to town to bring laughter and fun to her biggest fans! Donkey Hodie's first visit will be at a Family Fun Event at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 11 in the Panhandle PBS Studios at 2408 S. Jackson. Children, their friends and parents will get to hear a story about Donkey Hodie, snack on popcorn from Goody's Popcorn, plus enjoy hands-on learning activities and fun with our friends from Snapology. Raising Cane's will also provide guests with chicken strips to enjoy during the event.

Parents can reserve tickets in advance HEREfor each child attending (spots are limited).  Donations benefit educational programming and events for all children in our viewing area. No tickets are required for parents or guardians bringing children. Tickets will not be available at the event.

Donkey Hodie will also be stopping in to visit our friends at two Amarillo Public Library branches the following week! Visit amarillolibrary.org, call (806)378-3054 or visit the Amarillo Public Library Facebook page for more information.

The Donkey Hodie series broadcasts on the Panhandle PBS primary channel, our PBS Kids 24/7 channel and the PBS Kids App. It is inspired by the quirky, fun side of Fred Rogers as well as his mission to help young viewers navigate the challenges of childhood. Through eleven-minute character-driven stories full of adventure and imagination, Donkey Hodie and her pals encourage kids to face fears and challenges with positivity, practice kindness, and enjoy the success that comes from trying hard and doing their best.
