Arthur Read, who you may recognize from the popular PBS Kids series “Arthur,” is making a trip from his home in Elwood City all the way to Amarillo!
“Arthur” follows the story of Arthur and his friends as they navigate life, often facing important issues such as asthma, cancer, autism spectrum disorder, dyslexia, racism and mental health. The show is based on the “Arthur Adventure” book series by Marc Brown, and is the longest-running animated children’s series in the U.S. The 25th and final season of “Arthur” will premiere in the winter of 2022.
Arthur will be making several appearances in Amarillo:
- Tuesday, August 10, 2-4 p.m.: Panhandle Pediatrics and Young Pediatrics present Arthur! Meet Arthur and grab a Purple Flamingo Pop at 1500 S. Coulter.
- Thursday, August 12, 2-4 p.m.: Back to School Summer Splash Bash at Memorial Park
- Friday, August 13, 6-8 p.m.: Wonderland Park
- Sunday, August 15: Hodgetown. Arthur’s visit to the Sod Poodle’s game is sponsored by Family Medicine Center. Get your tickets for the game HERE!
