What's Coming to Panhandle PBS Passport: January 2024

Panhandle PBS Passport is a special benefit that allows members to stream their favorite PBS content any time, anywhere. Passport content is constantly being updated with new programming, so there's something for everyone! Here's a look at some of the new titles coming to Panhandle PBS Passport this month:

It's Spring 1940 and with Europe at war, the community in Darrowby are pulling together more than ever before. With Tristan away serving, Siegfried and James bring in some extra hands to help around the practice: highly efficient bookeeper Miss Harbottle, and student vet Richard Carmody. Happily married Helen and James begin to think about their future despite the looming possibility that James could be called up to serve.

In Season Four, Eliza has taken over the business of Nash & Sons (not that he has any sons) and things are not going entirely smooth, although help comes from some familiar sources. Outside of work, her relationship with William "The Duke" Wellington builds toward a looming decision that will shape both their lives.

"Funny Woman" is the story of Barbara Parker, a small-town beauty queen who dares to have bigger dreams. It's the 1960s when Barbara sets off for London, determined to follow in the footsteps of her idol, American actress and comedienne Lucille Ball.

Small animals, even tiny ones, must sometimes make epic journeys to find a home or a mate. While the distances may not seem monumental to us, to these little creatures the journey is monumental. Grasses appear like skyscrapers, mounds become mountains and raindrops fall as big as cars. Meet six heroic, tiny travelers risking it all to complete big journeys against the odds.

It's 1968, and the nuns and nurses from Nonnatus House return for more midwifery and family life. The midwives welcome a new nun, Sister Veronica, and tension in Poplar arises following the effects of Enoch Powell's "Rivers of Blood" speech.

Rewatch and binge all eight episodes of Season 12 with Passport before the rebroadcast in February 2024.
