Texas State Board of Education member Marty Rowley this week will speak to Amarillo College students and faculty.
Rowley is scheduled to address students and members of the AC Teach Club during a campus visit Thursday morning.
Rowley was elected to the state board in 2012. He represents District 15, a 77-county region that covers the Texas Panhandle and large sections of western and northwestern Texas. The district includes the Abilene, Amarillo, Lubbock, Midland and Wichita Falls metro areas.
Rowley chairs the board's school initiatives committee, which oversees charter schools in Texas.
