Panhandle PBS Community Media Scholarship Fund

Panhandle PBS is dedicated to quality media creation, production and distribution in the Texas Panhandle. In 2023, a special scholarship fund was created to guarantee paid intern funding for the development and training of future media professionals at Panhandle PBS. With the aim of developing the next generation of knowledgeable employees trained in using the power of media for good, Panhandle PBS's Community Media Scholarship Fund is designed to provide a transformational learning experience alongside station professionals for students interested in careers in public media creation and administration.

100 AT $100 CHALLENGE

This spring, Panhandle PBS is hosting a 100 at $100 challenge in an effort to raise $10,000 for our Community Media Scholarship Fund.

We need students to help us complete a variety of tasks that keep our station running smoothly. They go along on our video shoots, and once back at the station, they help us download and tag footage, and work in the editing bay. Depending on their skill sets, students may help with graphic design, social media, creating promotional materials, manning cameras at live events, and much more.

We believe these hands-on learning opportunities are vital for students and foster the growth of knowledge and skills needed for a successful career. Your gift to the Community Media Scholarship Fund allows us to work with Amarillo College students and give them this opportunity.

Additionally, we'll put the names of our $100 donors into a drawing for two tickets for our next Savor the Goods Italian al Fresco dinner. Please join us today in supporting the Panhandle PBS Community Media Scholarship Fund. We are grateful for your support!
