Though tickets for the upcoming performances of Stomp won't officially go on sale until Oct. 13, early sales will help "stomp out hunger."
The percussion-and-dance show will be staged at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 14 and 15 in the Amarillo Civic Center Complex Auditorium, 401 S. Buchanan St., as part of Civic Amarillo's Broadway Spotlight Series.
Tickets go on sale at noon Oct. 13. But a presale period will run from Monday through Oct. 12, and $5 from each ticket sold during that time will be donated to the High Plains Food Bank.
Ticket prices are $22, $35, $41, $54 and $60, plus fees.
The "Stomp Out Hunger" campaign is a regular feature of the production's national tour, according to a news release.
Stomp features a percussion ensemble that combines drumming and movement, incorporating household and industrial items into their gleeful noisemaking. The company last came to Amarillo five years ago in a nearly sold-out engagement.
Presale tickets are available in person at the Civic Center box office, online at PanhandleTickets.com or by phone at 806-378-3096 betwen noon and 6 p.m. Monday through Oct. 12. Use the codeword "hunger" when ordering.
The Broadway Spotlight Series will continue with The Wizard of Oz on Feb. 14 and 15, Dirty Dancing: The Classic Story Live on Stage on March 7 and 8, and Chicago on April 30 and May 1.
Season ticket packages run from $108 to $266, plus fees.
