Old Dominion, the newly crowned Vocal Group of the Year at the Academy of Country Music Awards, has expanded its tour and will perform Oct. 11 in Amarillo.

Tickets go on sale at noon May 4 at PanhandleTickets.com, in the Amarillo Civic Center Complex box office, area United Supermarkets and at 806-378-3096.

Old Dominion includes Matthew Ramsey, lead vocals and guitar; Trevor Rosen, guitar and keyboards; Whit Sellers, drums; Geoff Sprung, bass; and Brad Tursi, guitar.

Since the release of 2014 EP Meat and Candy, the band has opened for the likes of Alabama, Jake Owen and Chase Rice. The band was named ACM New Group of the Year in 2017, and its sophomore album Happy Endings dropped in 2017 and hit No. 1 on the Billboard Country chart.

Hit singles include “Break Up With Him,” "No Such Thing As a Broken Heart," “Snapback” and “Song For Another Time.”

The Happy Endings tour launched in February, and after the band joins Kenny Chesney for his Trip Around the Sun stadium tour this summer, the band will resume its own tour with dates beginning Oct. 4 in Knoxville, Tenn.

“We’re on track to play about 200 shows a year,” Ramsey told Billboard. “The story of this band is based around two things — songwriting and touring. We really didn't know how to do anything else other than write songs and play them, so we just kept doing that as much as we can."
