Amarillo Community Market

Ray Wilson provide tunes between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday during the outdoor market, which will move for another week (to make room for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure) to the parking lot of the Santa Fe Building, 10th Avenue and Tyler Street.

 

Amarillo Tri-State Fair & Rodeo

Singer-songwriter (and honorary Texan) Chris Knight will at 9:30 p.m. Friday at the fairgrounds, 3301 S.E. 10th Ave. And Cooder Graw will close out the fair with a 9:30 p.m. Saturday show. Concerts are free with fair admission. Austin’s Texas Pub

The bar, 3121 S.W. Sixth Ave., will feature Amarillo singer-songwriter Brian Wynne at 10 p.m. Friday; there's no cover charge. Then, Amarillo singer-songwriter Ray Wilson & The Time Travelers will give a 10 p.m. Saturday show; cover is $5. DJ Hobbit Feet will spin tunes for Sunday Funday beginning around 2 p.m. Call 806-803-9063.

Pop-punk bands Amestris and Tonight We Fight will perform at 9 p.m. Sunday at the coffee shop, 2812 S.W. Sixth Ave. The Lark and the Loon, a blues/folk duo from Arkansas, will play at 9 p.m. Tuesday. Indie rock band Televangelist will headline the Wednesday-night open-mic night starting around 8. And indie singer Emby Alexander will play at 9 p.m. Thursday. Shows are free, but donations are accepted. Call 806-322-1806.

 

Fire Slice Pizzeria

The FireSongs concert series continues at 7 p.m. Thursday at the restaurant, 7306 S.W. 34th Ave., Suite 10, with Amarillo singer-songwriter Rick Branigan. The shows are free, but you'll want to enjoy dinner with your tunes. Call 806-331-2232.

Dean Yates of Insufficient Funds will perform with son Choice Yates at 9 p.m. Friday at the bar and restaurant, 7145 S. Bell St.

 

Golden Light Cantina

Amarillo rock band Loudmouth Lisa will play at 10 p.m. Friday at the cantina, 2906 S.W. Sixth Ave.; cover is $5. Amarillo singer-songwriter Maggie Burt and band, along with Josh Adams and Brandon Todd, will perform at 10 p.m. Saturday; cover is $7. '80s masters The Cassettes will play at 10 p.m. Friday at the bar, 2424 Hobbs Road; cover is $10. The bar will throw a Customer Appreciation Night on Saturday with performances by Cody Jasper, Eddie & The Eat and Clark Griffin; admission is free. And alt-country favorite Ian Moore will return to town for a 10 p.m. Thursday show with opener Jesse Dayton; cover is $10. Plus, the bar's happy hour performances continue: The Solano Project on Tuesdays, Johnny Reverb Holston with Marc Durham and Jay Weeks on Wednesdays and Bobby McCauley of The Cassettes on Thursdays.
