Here's the scoop on all of the hot live music waiting for you this weekend and beyond. Read on for tips on where to go and who to hear.

 

Reckless Kelly

Longtime Texas country favorites Reckless Kelly will return to town for a 10 p.m. Saturday show at Hoot’s Pub, 2424 Hobbs Road. Opening act is popular singer Bleu Edmondson.

The Grammy-nominated Reckless Kelly will celebrate its 20th anniversary this year, fronted by brothers Cody and Will Braun.

Cover is $20.

 

Acapulco Mexican Restaurant

El Trio Cortez will perform at 7 p.m. today at the downtown restaurant, 727 S. Polk St.

 

Amarillo Botanical Gardens

The Music in the Gardens series continues with Susan Gibson, the Amarillo native singer-songwriter best known for “Wide Open Spaces,” at 7 p.m. June 16; doors open at 6 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and free for garden members and children ages 12 or younger.

 

Amarillo College

The annual June Jazz concert series continues with popular combo The Martinis. The free concert starts at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday on the mall in front of the AC Experimental Theatre on the Washington Street campus. Can't make it to the show in person? We'll live-stream it on KACV FM90.

 

Austin’s Texas Pub

Red Dirt band Riders Ford will perform at 10 p.m. today at the pub, 3121 S.W. Sixth Ave. That’s followed by a 10 p.m. Saturday song swap between Panhandle singers Jay Stathem and Luke Koepke. Shows are free this weekend.

 

Biker Down Bash

Lindsey Lane, Kilo Road, Cut Throat Catalyst and Skeleton Krew will peform for the Biker Down Bash Saturday and Sunday at 6401 S. Osage St. The party will feature free camping, BYOB drinks, food and drink vendors, raffles, a 50/50 Run, games, hot dog eating contest and more. Passes are $20 for both days. Call 806-681-8084.

 

Bracero’s

Pete Y Los Releros will perform at 6:30 p.m. at the restaurant, 2822 S.W. Sixth Ave.

 

Crush Wine Bar & Deli

Folk singer-songwriter Yvonne Perea will perform at 10 p.m. today at the downtown hot spot, 701 S. Polk St.

 

Downtown Canyon

The June Jams concert series continues with country singer Lindsey Blackwell on June 16. Concerts are held on the southeast lawn of the Randall County Courthouse at Fifth Avenue and 16th Street. Bring a lawn chair or blankets, along with food and beverages. Concerts begin at 7:30 p.m. and are free.

 

The 806

Indie folk band Wonky Tonk kicks off the weekend music at the coffee show, 2812 S.W. Sixth Ave., with a 9 p.m. show today. At 9 p.m. Saturday, Americana band Prettier Than Matt will perform. Looking ahead, acoustic duo The Division Men will perform at 9 p.m. Wednesday, followed by a show with rock band Last Time Only and singer Mary Lemanski at 9 p.m. June 16. Shows are free, but donations are accepted.

 

FireSlice Pizzeria

The weekly FireSongs songwriters series welcomes Gary Wayne Thomason and Brad Van Valkenburg of Sadie's Rangers for a 6:30 p.m. show at the restaurant, 7306 S.W. 34th Ave., Suite 10. The shows are free, but you'll want to enjoy some slices along with the tunes.

 

575 Pizzeria

Folk singer Andy Chase performs at 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays at the local pizza franchise’s original location, 2803 Civic Circle.

 

La Frontera

Los Cuatros Compadres will perform at 6:30 p.m. today at the restaurant, 1401 S. Arthur St.

 

Gerb’s Wurst Bar

Country band Next to Kin will perform at 9 p.m. today at the bar and restaurant, 7145 S. Bell St.

 

Golden Light Cantina

No live music this weekend.

 

High Noon on the Square

Center City of Amarillo's summer series continues at noon Wednesday with a performance by jazz combo Patrick Swindell & Pizzazz on the lawn of the Potter County Courthouse, Sixth Avenue and Tyler Street in downtown Amarillo. Lunch service begins at 11:45 a.m. with box lunches from Schlotzsky’s; lunch is $8, but the performance is free.

 

Hoot's Pub

In addition to Reckless Kelly on Saturday (see above), Texas-based Americana group Blue Water Highway Band will return for a 10 p.m. show today at the bar, 2424 Hobbs Road. Cover is $10. Check out my interview with the band here.

 

House Bar

Amarillo singer-songwriter Clark Griffin will perform at 10 p.m. at the bar, 1219 S.W. 10th Ave.

 

Joe Daddy’s

Lindsey Lane & Midnight Express will entertain diners at 8 p.m. today at the restaurant, 2108 Paramount St.

 

Leftwood’s

It’s a big night of rock at the bar, 2511 S.W. Sixth Ave., with The Heroine and Amarillo punk band Bastard Sons of David Hasselhoff at 10 p.m. today; cover is $5. Then, at 10 p.m. Saturday, Austin-based band Madisons hits town; cover is $6.

 

Midnight Rodeo

Local Texas country band Mike Chism & Hollow Point will perform for the Amarillo Live! Series at 9 p.m. Saturday at the bar and dance hall, 4400 S. Georgia St. Cover is $6 for ages 21 and older and $10 for ages 18 to 20.

 

Napoli’s Italian Restaurant

Andy Chase will perform on the patio of the downtown eatery, 700 S. Tyler St.

 

Panhandle PBS

Singer-songwriter Mike Fuller will perform for the latest Yellow City Sounds Live concert at 7 p.m. today in the studio, 2408 S. Jackson St. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The show is free and first-come, first-serve only, but if you can’t make it by, we’ll live stream it at panhandlePBS.org and kacvfm.org, then present highlights on an upcoming episode of Live Here.  

 

Pescarez

Singer-songwriter Tennessee Tuckness will perform for the dinner crowd at 6:30 p.m. today at the restaurant, 3415 S. Bell St., Suite K.

 

Sixth Street Saloon

Mesquite County will perform at 9 p.m. today at the bar, 609 S. Independence St.

 

Smokey Joe’s

Amarillo rock band Kilo Road will perform at 8 p.m. today at the restaurant, 2903 S.W. Sixth Ave. Blues Boy Willie will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday.

 

Skooterz

Vengeance, an Amarillo rock band, will perform at 10 p.m. today at the bar, 4100 Bushland Ave., followed by Boss 420 at 10 p.m. Saturday.

 

Starlight Theatre

Black Slacks Combo will perform at the third concert in this year's series from Amarillo Parks and Recreation. The band will kick off at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Sam Houston Park, Line Avenue and Western Street. Admission is free.

 

El Tapatio

Singer Victor Gallegos will perform at 6 p.m. at the Mexican restaurant, 3410 S. Coulter St.

 

Taste Dessert Bar

Folk singer Nate Currin will perform at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the bar, 1909 S. Georgia St.

 

Urbana Coffee Works

Singer-songwriter Danny “Freeze” Dobervich will perform at 7 p.m. today at the new coffee bar, 5215 S. Coulter St.

 

Western Horseman Bar

Strange Saints will perform at 9 p.m. Saturday at the bar, 2501 E. Interstate 40.

 

Whiskey River

Lubbock-based country band Hogg Maulies will perform at 10 p.m. today at the bar, 4001 S.W. 51st Ave., followed by Texas country act Calamity Janes at 10 p.m. Saturday. Cover both nights is $7.

 

Open mics

Maggie Burt hosts an open jam at 9 p.m. Tuesdays at Hoot’s Pub. …Trent Britten hosts at 8 p.m. Tuesdays at Sixth Street Saloon, 609 S. Independence St. … Mike Chism and Lee Scheetz host open mic nights at 9 p.m. Wednesdays at Whiskey River, 4001 S.W. 51st Ave. … Clint Culwell hosts open mics at 9 p.m. Thursdays at Austin’s Texas Pub
