Bowl for Kids' Sake leads off a list of April fundraisers.

Here's a quick look at fundraisers heading your way in April.

Bowl for Kids' Sake: Look for a strike at the 29th annual fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Texas Panhandle. Bowling times are 1, 3:15, 5:30 and 7:45 p.m. April 1 at Western Bowl, 5120 Canyon Dr. Entry fee is $75 or $85 per team member. Call 806-351-2210.

Fol de Rol: Amarillo Opera's annual fundraising gala — A Buenos Aires Ball, inspired by the company's upcoming production of Evita — begins at 6:30 p.m. April 1 at the Amarillo Country Club, 4800 Bushland Blvd. Tickets are $150; sponsorships are available. Call 806-372-7464.

Power of the Purse Luncheon: Longtime journalist Joan Lunden will headline this annual fundraiser event for the Laura W. Bush Institute for Women's Health. It begins at 11:30 a.m. April 6 in the Amarillo Civic Center Complex Heritage Ballroom, 401 S. Buchanan St. Tickts are $100; sponsorships are available. Call 806-356-4617.

Golden Nail Awards: Deadline is Thursday to reserve seats at this celebration of the top supporters of area arts in this annual banquet. The event begins at 6:30 p.m. April 6 in the Civic Center Grand Plaza. Tickets are $65. Call 806-342-2023.

Friends of the Amarillo Public Library Book Sale: Enlarge your library while helping support the city's. The sale's open to the public following a Friends Only Night at 6:30 p.m. April 7. Hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 8 and 2 to 6 p.m. April 9 in the Amarillo Public Library downtown branch, 413 S.E. Fourth Ave. Call 806-378-3054.

Relay for Life: The annual event, which raises funds for the American Cancer Society, begins at 6 p.m. April 21 at Polk Street United Methodist Church, 1401 S. Polk St. Call 806-773-7471.

Second Chance Prom: Don't be late for this very important date — an Alice in Wonderland-themed fundraiser for Martha's Home. It begins at 7 p.m. April 22 in the Rex Baxter Building on the Amarillo Tri-State Fairgrounds, 3301 S.E. 10th Ave. Tickets are $45 for singles and $85 for couples; sponsorships and tables are available. Amarillo Heart Songs: Some of Amarillo's finest — including Mary Jane Jonson, Sandy Storey, RnR Fusion and Jim Gardner — will perform in a concert benefiting Friends of Aeolian-Skinner Opus 1024. The event also features a light dinner. It all begins at 6:30 p.m. April 27 at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 1601 S. Georgia St. Tickets are $35. Call 806-376-6316, Ext. 105.

Best of Texas: Junior League of Amarillo's annual fundraiser, set for 6 p.m. April 28, will make some changes this year. It'll move to the Derrick Event Center, 814 S. Taylor St., and feature acclaimed songwriters Aaron Barker, Rodney Clawson and Nicolle Galvon. They're also only selling tables of eight for the event at $2,500 each. Call 806-374-0802.

Great Gatsby Party: Amarillo Little Theatre's Guild will throw a Roaring '20s-style fundraiser for the theater, featuring live entertainment, dancing and more. DJ Kent Hilton will remix some Gatsby-era music, and the party will feature appetizers, desserts and cocktails. It begins at 8 p.m. April 28 at Encore House, 501 S. Grant St. Tickets are $50 in advance and $60 at the door; sponsorships are available. Call 806-355-9991.

Potter County Steak-Out: You'll get stuffed for a good cause at this fundraiser dinner for 4-H and FFA programs. The event begins at 6 p.m. April 29 at the Rex Baxter Building on the Tri-State Fairgrounds, 3301 S.E 10th Ave., and features a prime-rib dinner and music by Ken Stonecipher & The Wooden Nickel Band with Danny Cadra.
