About 100 works by nearly 100 artists will be on view and on sale at Amarillo Museum of Art's annual 12 x 12 Art Exhibition and Silent Auction on Thursday.

The event begins with a 6 p.m. Thursday preview party in the museum, 2200 S. Van Buren St. The full party runs from 7 to 8:30 p.m., when the silent auction closes.

"We'll have a variety of media," said Alex Gregory, curator of art. "There's paintings, printmaking, sculpture, photography. There should be something for everyone."

All works will be for sale, and bidding starts at $120 per item.

"It's an opportunity for people to get their collections started or to add to their collection with unique and interesting artwork at a reasonable starting bid," Gregory said.

Proceeds are divided between the artists and AMoA's youth education program.

Tickets are $12 for the exhibition and silent auction or $24 including the preview party.
