Clifford the Big Red Dog will bound back to the Panhandle in July.

Based on beloved children’s books by Nelson Birdwell, Clifford the Big Red Dog will return to Panhandle PBS and PBS Kids later this year with brand-new episodes.

Clifford’s visit will run from July 14 to 20.

From 3 to 5 p.m. July 14, Clifford will greet and take pictures with guests at Wonderland Park, 2601 Dumas Drive. Regular park admission applies.

From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 16, Clifford will greet kids at Westgate Mall, 7701 W. Interstate 40.

At 10:30 a.m. July 17, Clifford will color with children at the Dallam-Hartley County Library, 420 Denrock Ave. in Dalhart.

From 2 to 4 p.m. July 18, Clifford will appear at our annual Summer Splash, a kid-friendly event at the splash pad at Memorial Park, 2501 S. Washington St., just down from the Panhandle PBS studios on Jackson Street.

Fun-filled episodes follow Clifford and his pals (both canine and human) as they play, discover and interact with each other and the inhabitants of Birdwell Island, learning that good friends are what life is all about.

Clifford’s visit is made possible by Westgate Mall and Wonderland Park.
