'Two for the Road,' other favorites to be available on Create TV in Amarillo

Viewers’ favorite lifestyles shows now have a new or additional home in Amarillo.

Panhandle PBS will add Create TV to our offerings as of Jan. 1 — over the air on channel 2.3. Negotiations are ongoing to add it to Suddenlink's lineup in the area, as well.

Create features viewers' favorite public television series and specials on cooking, travel, home improvement, gardening, arts and crafts, and other lifestyle interests.

In its 11th year, Create annually reaches 46 million viewers nationwide. The channel is produced and distributed by APT, WNET New York and WGBH Boston in association with NETA and PBS.

On any given day, Create treats home-improvement buffs to This Old House and Rough Cut — Woodworking with Tommy Mac. Food fans will feast on America’s Test Kitchen from Cook’s IllustratedLidia's KitchenMexico - One Plate at a Time With Rick Bayless and Jacques Pépin: Heart & Soul. Wandering souls will find themselves captivated by Globe Trekker and Rick Steves’ Europe. Budding artists and crafters will appreciate The Best of the Joy of Painting With Bob Ross and Knit & Crochet Now

Of special interest to Amarillo viewers is Two for the Road from area natives Dusty and Nikki Green. The show, which began airing on Panhandle PBS, airs at 1:30 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays on Create.

The show will begin airing its all-new second season on Panhandle PBS at 8 p.m. Jan. 18 with the first of a two-part Adventure in Costa Rica.
