May 2022: Amarillo College Foundation

Email share

The Amarillo College Foundation was created in 1962 to help AC students pursue their higher education aspirations. The organization has continued to serve its students for 50 years.

As AC's scope of work has grown, the AC Foundation has risen to meet the challenges associated with the growth. The AC Foundation is currently awarding over $2 million a year in scholarships to its students. Additionally, funding is provided each year for faculty and staff programming through the Faculty Grants Program.

The Amarillo College Foundation is believed to be the largest community college foundation in the state of Texas with a net asset value of over $70 million. In September of 2020, the AC Foundation formally entered the quiet phase of its first comprehensive campaign with focus on three key areas:

  • Thriving Student Experience
  • Faculty Staff Enrichment
  • Capital Enhancement

The public phase of this 5-year campaign is expected to launch in the Fall of 2022. The Amarillo College Foundation Board and Staff are fully committed to supporting Amarillo College and its mission of impacting more lives in this community than any other higher education or continuing education institution in the region.
