Regal Cinemas has posted a notice of an application to sell alcoholic beverages at UA Star Stadium 14 at 8725 W. Amarillo Boulevard, between Coulter Street and Soncy Road/Loop 335.
“While we’ve added over a hundred locations in the last year, we’re still evaluating Amarillo,” as a site for adult beverage sales, said Alan Davy of Regal Cinemas.
The application is the first step of determining whether to go ahead with the idea.
“We start with the permit requests,” Davy said. “Depending on the agency, sometimes this is a long process. After we have the permit, we then seek the landlord permission, if needed, and start looking at the physical needs at the theater to construct the space needed.”
The company eyes the space to decide if the theater would get anything from a simple set-up to a full bar, he said.
“We’re trying to add this option in Amarillo as we have at several of our Texas locations,” Davy said.
