Two franchise businesses will nestle together on the northeast corner of Soncy Road and Southwest 45th Avenue in Southwest Amarillo.
Contractor ADC Inc. is building retail sites for both a Dunkin Donuts location and a Tide Dry Cleaners location, plus a third retail shell structure on the corner lot.
City of Amarillo building permit data lists the construction cost of the 2,730-square-foot Tide Dry Cleaners at $500,000. The construction price tag for each of the other two buildings is about $100,000 less, according to the city.
Both stores, though, will run slightly larger than the dry cleaning facility, permit information shows.
A Lubbock-based limited liability company called Five S Building owns the land, having purchased it from Amarillo National Bank in May 2015, the Potter-Randall Appraisal District database shows.
PRAD lists the appraised value of the undeveloped property at more than $623,000.
Tide Dry Cleaners franchises are offered by Agile Pursuits Franchising Inc., a subsidiary of Procter & Gamble, according to www.entrepreneur.com.
Locations offer laundry drop-off and pick-up service 24 hours a day, using drop boxes and lockers, the website said. Franchises also offer drive-through and tailoring services.
Dunkin Donuts recently opened a stand-alone store on South Western Street and one has operated at a Petro Travel Center on East Interstate 40 for several years.
