An Amarillo chophouse that pays homage to traditional New York- and Chicago-style steakhouses now is under construction at Town Square Village

Perry WIlliams General Contractors has begun to finish out an 8,700-square-foot space at the Residences at Town Square for Prime Chophouse and Lounge. The project carries a construction value of $350,000, according to city building permit data.

The restaurant is the latest from Brian Mason, the man behind BL Bistro.

Prime Chophouse will offer Prime USDA natural beef and fresh seafood.

The restaurant will have a full bar, wine cellar, cigar lounge and outdoor patio seating.
