A 101-unit apartment complex will soon begin to rise on West Amarillo Boulevard.
The Stellar Family of Companies, a real estate investment firm based in Lubbock, will develop the Marabella Apartments on three acres at 5781 W. Amarillo Blvd., across from Lowe's Home Improvement.
The four-story complex carries a construction value of more than $11.4 million, according to city building permit information.
Stellar Construction Ltd. will do the work.
Apartments will be one- and two-bedroom units and will be available to residents 55 and older who earn up to 60 percent of the area's median income, according to Stellar's website.
The complex will include a community room, fitness center, business center, movie/activity center, library, storage and a courtyard and outdoor patios, Stellar said.
Stellar plans a yet-to-be-announced groundbreaking this quarter for the project, which has been in the works since late 2016.
