I’m keeping it simple at Biz Here today.
All it takes is a roadtrip with your coworkers to know some of the questions turning over (and over) in the community. So I satisfied them – or not – with a short answer for what’s under construction south of Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers at 5225 S. Coulter St.
The answer is a Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen.
A&S General Contractors of Amarillo is building the nearly 2,500-square-foot restaurant at 5409 S. Coulter St. The property ownership traces back to HZ Props Re Ltd., according to a city building permit report.
Some quick research shows HZ Props has been involved in the development of several Popeyes franchises in various locations. The city report shows eatery is costing about $750,000 to build.
